Privacy matters a great deal at Consiliari Literex — and not just on paper. This website runs without cookies, without tracking, and without analytics tools. The Literex product converts every document entirely locally on your device. Below we inform you, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), about the processing of personal data.

2. Hosting and server logs

This website consists of static files and is served by an external hosting provider:

The servers are located exclusively in Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hetzner; Hetzner is certified to ISO/IEC 27001.

When the website is accessed, technically necessary access data is processed in so-called server log files. This typically includes the anonymized or shortened IP address, the date and time of access, the requested URL, the HTTP status code, the volume of data transferred, and the user agent transmitted by your browser (browser type and operating system).

This processing is technically essential to deliver the website, ensure its stability and security, and prevent abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning web service under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log data is stored only for a short period and then deleted; it is not combined with other data sources or analyzed for marketing purposes.

3. No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics tools whatsoever. In particular, we forgo:

• Web analytics services such as Google Analytics, Matomo, or comparable tools
• Advertising, conversion, or retargeting trackers
• Social media plugins or tracking pixels
• the creation of usage or personality profiles

Because we use no technologies that require consent, this website needs no cookie banner either. Beyond the technically necessary data described under “Hosting and server logs,” no personal data is collected.

4. The Literex product

Consiliari Literex is an add-in for Microsoft Word that converts Markdown and DOCX back and forth. The product's privacy architecture is deliberately local by design:

• Local processing: The entire conversion runs directly on your own machine. Your documents are processed solely on your device and are never sent to any external location.
• No transmission: No document content, no metadata, and no usage telemetry is transmitted to external services.
• No account: No user account and no registration are required to use it.
• No cloud: Your documents never leave your device. No cloud processing takes place.
• No personal data: The add-in collects, stores, or transmits no personal data.

Consiliari Literex performs every document conversion directly on the user's device. No document content, metadata, or usage telemetry is transmitted to external services. A user account is not required. The add-in collects, stores, or transmits no personal data.

Note: Literex is currently provided as an installer directly through this website. Should the add-in additionally be offered through Microsoft AppSource in the future, Microsoft's privacy terms will apply additionally to that distribution channel.

5. External links and services

This website embeds no external trackers, analytics services, or social media plugins. The installer is provided directly through this website. Occasionally we link to external offerings (e.g., the EU online dispute resolution platform in the legal notice).

As soon as you follow an external link, you leave our website. We have no influence over how the respective providers process data. Their offerings are governed solely by their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing these before use.

6. Your rights as a data subject

Within the limits of the law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
